Greeks required to lunch with Polyphemus
Have you ever harboured a secret desire to sail with Odysseus? It is nothing to be ashamed of. Although it is considered socially indiscreet to mention the subject, studies have shown that most people would, if given the chance, jump at the opportunity to wander around the Mediterranean in a boat, alighting on strange and rocky shores to be harassed by satyrs and eventually consumed by a cyclops.
We’re rehearsing a University production of Euripides’ Cyclops, and we still need a couple of Greek soldiers. They’re pretty easy roles which mostly involve looking staunch and not reacting to cavorting satyrs who will try to… get a rise out of you. Since it is a Greek comedy we will be breaking into the University’s strategic reserves of fake willies, but you won’t be required to wear one.
