Wellington

Apparently when it said the union meeting this evening would be “5-5.30″, that wasn’t an indication of the duration but rather an estimate of the starting time. However, there was a very nice catered dinner, and this may have been why I so readily volunteered to go up to Wellington again in the school holidays for the national conference. Well, it was good last time and a planning conference is as good as a holiday, right?

So… if anyone reading this is going to be in Wellington on 23-25 September, we could do whatever it is people do in Wellington in the evenings during PPTA conferences. I’m a little unclear on it, as last time I was fasting.

It occurs to me that although Wellington has a reputation for being windy and damp, I’ve never actually seen it on a day when it wasn’t sunny and pleasant.

Actually… [thinks]… that’s quite close to when the big comics convention is on. [Checks]… yes, the weekend before. Perhaps I can get the PPTA to give me a ticket for a few days earlier, hang around in Wellington for a few days, then go to the conference. [Looks up from keyboard]… Oh… I appear to be typing while I’m thinking. That’s probably best avoided. Erm… I’ll get back to you.

God belong to the Yankee dollar. God doesn’t plant the bombs for Hizbollah.

I have staggered randomly in this direction to Wow you with my presence. Be impressed. Or DIE! (I Feel Sick reference in case you think I’m mad)

  2. I am suitably wowed.
