I spent the afternoon at Duane and Johanna’s playing Lego. Only to make it seem more grown-up we turned it into a war game with rules and dice-rolling and such. Granted that’s still not very grown-up, but that and home ownership are about as far as we’re prepared to go. After that, we tried to teach Duane’s five-year old son Ethan to play. It worked pretty well as an educational tool for basic arithmetic, although we realised we may have been pushing it a bit far when Ethan suggested we play a different game of his own devising entitled “Roll the Dice, Roll the Dice, Roll the Dice, Get a Very High Number”.
You won’t see tomorrow if you cannot see today, and you can’t just expect it all to go away.
